Kaizen AI Lab

About Us

Built by operators.
Not consultants.

Kaizen AI Lab was founded by people who've actually run businesses. We know what it feels like to make payroll, manage inventory, deal with regulators, and keep customers happy. That changes everything about how we build AI.

The Founders

The people behind the systems.

We didn't start an AI company because AI is trendy. We started it because we spent years building AI systems to run our own businesses and realized everyone else needed the same thing.

Don Ho

Co-Founder & CEO

25+ years as a practicing attorney and serial entrepreneur. Don has built and sold businesses across law, lending, restaurants, consulting, and foreclosure services. He's the rare founder who's made payroll in five different industries.

He scaled Harmony Tea Bar to four locations across Southern California. He served as General Counsel at a financial services company specializing in aviation lending, where he managed compliance, servicing operations, and technology infrastructure for a 75-person lender.

He even launched a luxury dining startup called Taste Club with partners including Wolfgang Puck, Jose Andres, and Rick Bayless. It didn't work out. That failure taught him more about operational discipline than any success ever did.

Now he deploys AI systems across 7 industries, obsessed with one thing: closing the gap between what AI can do and what businesses actually need. Not what looks good in a demo. What works at 7am on a Monday when your team is trying to get through the week.

Carson Vasquez

Co-Founder & COO

Systems architect and AI infrastructure specialist. Carson is the technical backbone of Kaizen AI Lab. While Don figures out what needs to be built, Carson figures out how to build it so it actually works at scale.

His expertise runs deep in multi-agent orchestration, data pipelines, and enterprise deployment. He designed the architecture behind Kaizen Colony, the proprietary system that lets Kaizen operate like a 50-person company with a fraction of the headcount.

Carson doesn't just build systems that work in demos. He builds systems that survive contact with real businesses, real data, and real people who don't read documentation. That's the difference between infrastructure and a prototype.

Our Story

Why we built this company.

The short version

After over two decades of building businesses, Don started building AI systems to run his own operations. Automated document processing at a lending company. Streamlined compliance workflows for multi-state legal work. Built operations management systems for a restaurant chain.

Every business owner he talked to wanted the same thing: someone who understood their actual business and could build AI that works within it. Not another SaaS tool. Not a framework. Not a chatbot. Real systems that handle real work.

That's what Kaizen AI Lab does. We take the operational experience of having actually run businesses and combine it with genuine AI engineering capability. The result is AI that doesn't just demo well. It works on Monday morning.

How we operate

We practice what we preach. Kaizen runs on a small human team augmented by 40+ AI agents handling everything from content creation to financial reporting. We operate like a 50-person firm on a fraction of the payroll.

When we tell you AI can transform your operations, we're not reading from a slide deck. We're speaking from daily experience.
